14 hours ago a company, named microsoft,….decided to make the most best game ever (thought by someguy in texas) to have……no more updates. Anyway the 5 new maps came out for free finally! They are Relic, Elongation, Terminal, Backwash, and Gemini. Gamers will be required to download the maps by next week’s matchmaking update if they wish to continue playing the ranked multiplayer sessions. Those who wish to explore the new territories can do so in custom games, Rumble Preview, or Team Preview playlists.

To get the five new maps, Halo 2 owners need only to sign on to Xbox Live and select the content download option from the game’s menu.

Sony desided that if they can’t get things right the first time then they should patch patch again. Anywho, the update incudes a browser. And the system now has the support for TIFF, GIF, PNG, and BMP formats. This is for their wireless p2p photo sharing client built in and the photos in the mentioned format can be used as wallpaper. The browser is tabular meaning it can have tabbed browsing but only 3 tabs can be open at one time. So far Sony has mentioned that they should add Java and Flash support (in the next update) so that you can go to any hotspot and still be able to look at ads without a computer. YAY (popup ad support, this is like the best idea ever)! Of course being Sony they desided that for their next update they should charge money (for hardware such as mice and keyboards). Other additions include support for 4:3 screen mode, AAC and WAV audio files, and MP4 video files. To get the update you must go to this site.

The list is as follows:

  • Korean has been added as a system language in [System Settings].
  • [Character Set] has been added in [System Settings].
  • Web security
  • Web address shortcut feature has been added as an input mode for the on-screen keyboard
  • Go To feature has been added (for UMDVIDEO and UMDMUSIC)
  • Audio options have been added (for video saved on Memory Stick Duo media).
  • A-B Repeat feature has been added (for UMDVIDEO, UMDMUSIC and video saved on Memory Stick Duo media).
  • p2p (we believe that it can be hacked to share stuff other than pictures) picture sharing client
  • Wallpaper feature has been added.
  • The stuff in the paragraph above
  • A web browser

LA Rush Review

Yes I know this game isn’t out, yet. But I beta-tested it so I know. They tried those midway guys but failed…miserably. The game starts out ok..you get a cool car and get to drive around a big open space. Then it gets weird. You must run into 7 yellow light beam thingies from heaven before the CPUs do. Unfortunately they have the special power of going through buildings. Other cars are on the road and the car models are terrible. They look like cars from the Micro-Machines game for the N64. And that’s bad. When you crash you get to see this weird foggy screen with your car hitting another car and then exploding but then you car becomes perfect again and all the cars you hit are ok. Very odd. Don’t get me started on the Cops. Oh too late. The cops in this game are EXTREMELY annoying! They spawn from everything. Semis, Buses, other cars, buildings, etc. The turn on their siren when you are even going the speed limit and are in the right lane. The cops also use (the terrible horrible…I hate to say it…….EA games…….Hot pursuit……..engine. This means they are really dumb and like to swarm in on you. In unfair numbers like 40.) Also your boost is terrible (max speed of 100, the cops go 120). And the cops are dumb…..Like take this. I was just driving along with 2 cops on my trail one blew up randomly and the other was still following me. We smashed into a brick wall in the middle of a hill next to the hollywood sign. His car was upside down. The guy inside was dead (There are people in the car. And their faces change). Guess what happens. I start to back up and the cop car siren goes on. Next thing I know there are 12 more cops on my tail. Unfair. The car models are horrid and you can see through the terrain. The programming guys have another 36 more bugs they need to work out (I counted). DON’T BUY THIS GAME AT ALL. DON’T EVEN CONSIDER IT. This game is for people who liked the game: Big Rigs Over the Road racing (which is so bad it is the only game to ever get a score under zero [later the score was changed because it didn't fit the "range"]). LA Rush comes out 10/10/2005 for the PS2 and Xbox. The final version sucks. The game is horribly unrealistic. I rate this game a 1/5.

Splinter cell movie? World of warcraft is spyware?! The Xbox 360 could come out late!!?

Apparently Ubisoft’s game Tome Clancy’s Splinter Cell has a film featuring superspy Sam Fisher could be slipping out Paramount’s back door and infiltrating DreamWorks instead.

World of Warcraft users are complaining because the online role-player is grabing information about hardware specs, IP addresses, website history, MRU lists, and operating systems that gamers have “in order to assist Blizzard Entertainment to police users who may use ‘hacks,’ or ‘cheats,’” according to the game’s Terms of Use contract (yes, I am serious).

Recentally J. Allard (PR Xbox 360) went to the hospital. Broke his wrist. The Xbox 360 project has been suspended. Bill Gates wants Allard to keep programing, even though Allard’s job is PR of Xbox 360. (Okay. I am kidding though he did break his wrist while mountain biking).

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike is glitched for the Xbox

Ubisoft today announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike is glitched. The game is basically about liberating Kazakhstan from a Pakistani warlord.

From Ubisoft’s website:

“Some users have reported that when initially loading the game, before, during, or after the intro movie, the game freezes and a ‘Red X’ error message is displayed, which instructs the user to restart his/her Xbox. It is important to note that the error does not affect every user, and that the Red X screen itself is a generic error message, much like the dirty disk error messages that other games use.”

One ubisoft guy had mentioned

“[there are] several relatively easy ways to resolve the freeze.”

To find how to fix the freeze go to http://www.ghostrecon.com/us/ for the post on how to fix it.

PC gamers can now signup for namco’s sequal to Tales of Eternia game that was for the Playstation.

From Gamespot:

At the current stage of beta testing, players can create up to three characters per server and select each character’s gender and class. Five different classes are currently available for selection: warrior, swordsman, martial artist, white sorcerer, and magic sorcerer. The player can choose to start out from one of three locations: the port town of Barole, the village of Moruru, or the town of Mints.

It been what, 3 weeks and people are still talking about the thing Rockstar Games did. When will they get over that? Today, China is released a plan to ban minors from violent online games that involve killing. In other news do you remember this guy [see below]? (If you have no idea what game he is from, it is Alien Hominid.) Well once again he is going to be on another system, the GBA….in UK. Good old Ubisoft, today they announced plans to release a limited edition to last game in the Myst series, Myst V: End of Ages (releasing in September). According to Gamespot, Ubisoft is making it only available at the following stores: Apple, EB Games, GameStop, Fry’s, Best Buy, CompUSA, and also you can buy it direct direct from the publisher at Ubi.com. Apparently the limited-edition package will include the strategy guide to the game, an individually numbered lithograph, the game soundtrack, a bonus DVD and the game itself. This will all go for $59.99. The Alterative? $49.99 but all you get is the game (considering this is going to be the last Myst game I would suggest buying the special edition).
