So, the DS has friend codes but they are different per game, which is really annoying if you want to share friend codes right away since you would have to switch games. But now Nintendo says that the Wii will have one universal friend code. So all games will use this one friend code. That way you can tell anyone your friend code and they can play with you in any game.

Images have sprouted on the Internet of the WiiMote’s packaging. Due to the numbers of the images that are shown it is assumed that this is the real deal. So enjoy it in it’s wonderful Wii-ness (remember clicking on the image makes it bigger)
Ensemble, the makers of Age of Empires 3, has been asked by microsoft to make a Halo RTS, named Halo Wars. Microsoft says that it’s only for the Xbox 360 and will not be for the PC.

According to MS, the game is before the original Halo, so around the time when the UNSC Marine forces were first encountering the Covenant.

IGN has confirmed that Guitar Hero 2 will be for the Xbox360 and will include a special X-Plorer controller that looks like a cheapo rock guitar. It will allow you to download songs off of Xbox Live Marketplace and use them in the game.

Opera (the software that will be used as the Wii’s browser) will be available for free (before you would have to buy the browser in order to go to the web) to download until June 2007. After which, if you didn’t download then you will have to pay using WiiPoints for a certain amount that is not specified.
On a “this is a reminder” note, the Wii will release on November 19.
Legal notice: This voids your warranty (like all homebrews and emulators) and it is illegal to download video games “that you don’t own”. And you need the PS1 BIOS file which is SCPH1001.BIN but you can probably find it on the Internet (illegally).
So, what does this do? It’s an emulator for your PSP to play PS1 games. You need certain files to run it. And it’s kinda slow because games run at 10fps. According to the emulator website it says that it is for PSP versions (I am talking firmware versions) 1.0-2.60. The game runs ROMs that are in BIN or ISO format.

Kinda funny that it is the only Kingdom Hearts that is not for the PS2. Well that’s all gonna change really soon. Square-Enix is planning on releasing the GBA version of Kingdom Hearts for the PS2 in a double disk set. Square-Enix claims that it will be a dual port. One version will be a director’s edition that will look exactly the same as the GBA version (same graphics, etc) while the other version will feature the game in PS2 graphics (3D, and that it looks like a regular kingdom hearts game).
Q Entertainment, the publishers of the popular DS game, Meteos claims that the game will be launched for the PC for free. The game will have online multiplayer and will gain revenue from purchasable extras. There will be several new items and you will have the ability to make your own guys and apply new styles to them.
The game is planned to only be released in Japan.
EA announced that Battle Field 2142 is completed and is ready to be shipped on October 19th. Seems a bit early for the game to be done. I bet they will release a bug fix for it the week after the game is out.

Engadget claims that they have found the real Wii Dev Kit, however the specs on the Dev Kit are unknown. If it’s real then that’s really cool but if it is fake, that would suck but since there are 3 of them it looks real.
Anyway I got my hands on the wii specs for anyone who wants to know the final stats on the system.
