Gamers who missed the whole Star Wars thing or think that the Dagobah system is just too far away are in luck. LucasArts today announced a plan to make Jedi training a lot more cost-effective. The company, part of George Lucas’ Lucasfilm Ltd. empire, announced Star Wars Galaxies: The Starter Kit, an introductory pack for the Star Wars Galaxies massively multiplayer online role-playing game universe, for $19.99.
The bundle includes content from the original Star Wars Galaxies (formerly titled Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided), the expansion Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed, and “new material created for the game.” Sony Online Entertainment and LucasArts have completely redesigned the first 30 levels with a “simplified user interface and fast-action combat system.” Players who purchase the Starter Kit will also get a unique X-Wing or TIE fighter and 30 days of free play.
In the game, players cruise through the Star Wars universe as one of several professions, be it a merchant, a Jedi, or a rogue scoundrel.
This is more centered around the Wii Version than the GCN version. It’s kinda funny that the game abbreviated is LOZ:TP which could mean a lot of things…like Legend of Zelda: Toilet Paper or Legend of Zelda: Tape Paper or…um..I don’t know. Everyone knows who Link is however like every other LOZ game Link is different, this one is raised as a wrangler in a small, rural village (which tends to be the place link is always in), is “sent” to throw a gift at the royal family of pantsville Hyrule. But as he is about to leave the story line gets really dramatic…oh no…5 bucks Zelda gets kidnapped or harmed in some way. And the village is very nice. I think I will clean it up (okay fine he doesn’t clean the village), 5 hours later, the village explodes (which it does explode). Wow…that sucks. Link goes flying into a dark twilight shadow that has covered Hyrule.

When he enters that realm, he transforms into a wolf and is captured. A mysterious figure named Midna helps him break free. With the aid of her magic, they set off to free the land from the shadows. Oooo…and that’s the basic story. The WiiMote and the Nunchuck both control the sword movement when used together and arrows are controlled by the WiiMote individually.
The game will be rated T for Teen and will release Nov. 19, 2006.
SEGA is making another game with you guessed it, Sonic! The game begins when Sonic is reading the book “Arabian Nights.†When suddenly, the Genie from the book appears and tells Sonic that the last several pages of the book have mysteriously gone blank. The Genie soon teleports Sonic into the book to save the pages of the book and set the world of the Arabian Nights back together. The WiiMote will pick up movements from the players that will cause Sonic to move side to side (he moves forward by himself) and perform combos with wrist movement. The game also makes you feel like you are going really really fast. The game features about 30 mini-games that are for 1-4 players.
So I got a hold of some screenshots of the new Pokemon Ranger game. And I wanna share them with ya all because apparently you like Pokemon (this statement is made based off of site stats).
So here is a treat, the screenshots in English (click one to see the bigger view):

This post is old. Why don’t you check out our newer articles?
WiiSports is actually 5 games in one and I got 4 images of those games:
Tennis
Bowling
Baseball
Golf
Here is a brief explanation of the games:
Your Miis that you made on the Mii Wii channel are the main characters in this game, it’s like “hey you pikachu!” just without the cute yellow thing and the stupid microphone. As you get better, pikachu your mii gets better and their skills improve.
In Tennis which is for 1-4 players you use the WiiMote like a racket in which you swing. By doing so the game understands what your character does; forehands, backhands, volleys, lobs, slices, spin and power hits depending on your speed and angle of the swing. The game auto-moves your player in front of the ball so you can swing.
In Bowling which is for 1-4 players you basically roll the ball down the lane and play digital bowling, that simple.
In Baseball which is for 1-2 players you basically swing the WiiMote like a bat and swing it (just like in real baseball). Speed and swiftness make the difference between home runs and hits. When playing 2 player, it’s opposite teams, one swings and the other is at bat. And all fielding and running is automatic.
In Golf which is for 1-4 players you use the WiiMote as a golf club and go flying depending on how hard you hit it but if you hit it too hard it will go flying.
And for Boxing, the game I don’t have a screenshot of you play with up to 2 players. The player uses the Nunchuk controller as one glove and the WiiMote as the other. You then basically dodge, weave and punch your opponents. Guarding depends on where your hands are currently positioned, high for faces and low for lower body stuff. Punching occurs the same way low for a punch and up for an uppercut. Combos can be achieved by swinging your arms all around.
Yeah that’s right, a new metroid prime. They couldn’t stop making money. aahhahahahaha. Anyway, The Galactic Federation’s network computer, Aurora Unit, is suddenly corrupted with a virus. The Federation believes Space Pirates are to blame when the Galactic Federation is soon attacked. Samus and other hunters go gung ho and leap to the Federation’s defense. But it isn’t space pirates….it’s Dark Samus who is now bigger and better and can kill you just by touching you or missing you by like 5 feet.
So it’s for the wii? What is special about it? You move by moving the nunchuk controller and aim the gun with the WiiMote. And once again you can have the fun of actually acting like you are in the suit with no more crappy locks that make it so you can’t shoot down or fall and machine gun. It’s the real physics deal. And a new Phazon system will be featured in the game as well. Which can allow Samus to go into hyper mode (which you can probably guess what you can do). But over fill the meter and well…you…die.
But what is the cool part about the game? For the first time ever you will be able to control Samus’ ship and fly in it….that’s awesome

Sony announced the new PSP Entertainment pack which includes a 1GB memory stick, a Lords of Dogtown UMD, and ATV Offroad Fury all for just $250. The new bundle pack will be on sale tomorrow and will be available until Christmas is over.
Xfire, that app bought out by Viacom because it was such a cool thing, allowed one to play their games and not be interrupted by chats that were coming in from ims. In other words it allowed people to play their games and chat on aim at the same time.
Which is an awesome idea, so how does this involve Sony? Well today Viacom announced that they have a special contract with Sony that is gonna bring X-Fire to the PS3, as said by Viacom’s CEO “Importantly, Xfire just signed a deal with Sony to create a version of their platform for the new PS3, which will now enable Xfire to extend its reach further into the huge console gaming market”.
We will see what happens when the PS3 is out.
Yeah yeah yeah, I know I am talking like a pirate because that’s is what people do on AIM.
