Yep, we are going at 9MPH/min people. 9 DSes are bought every minute. I have no idea how that all works or how accurate it is, but it came from the big N so I guess it has to be true.

Xbox Live getting more movies and one free cartoon!

Microsoft has released a list of new movies that will be availible for Xbox Live, if you can manage to download them. Some users state that the HD versions of any video will not work at all or you will be double charged or it will never download.

Anyway, here are the shows and movies that will be on Xbox Live.

  • Skyland Free until Monday 1/29
  • Wild World of Spike
  • Inconvenient Truth

Here are the HD videos that will be added to Xbox Live:

  • Lady in the Water
  • Beerfest
  • Wickerman
  • The Descent
  • American Haunting
  • See No Evil
  • Blair Witch Project
  • Requiem for a Dream
  • Cecil B. Demented

But then again, watching them on your Xbox 360 beats going to BlockBuster and renting the video…Right?

We are back.

Hotel Dusk is out Today

Hotel Dusk is the coolest mystery game for the DS since Another (which I admit was rather short, unfortunately [it's also funny because it's made by the people who made Another]). The game is pure 3D genius. The graphics are awesome. It’s extremely detailed and there is lots to explore. You play the game like you would with Brain Age, sideways (because Nintendo states that Hotel Dusk is read like a book). And control the map on the touch screen. Want to go left? Then stroke left, and the game moves left. You can examine objects in the game that light up.

The story is extremely well written and it is dynamic, meaning that what you say and do affects how the story goes. Like those other “Choose Your Path” games. The game is like you writing the story. You can write memos and take notes about characters. You start out in 1979, 3 days after Christmas (December 28th). You play as ex-Cop Kyle Hyde, and you have a past that is not revealed to the players. You are looking for your partner Bradley, who mysteriously disappeared some years ago. After being fired from the force you get a job at Red Crown as a salesman. One night you get a crazy dream that you found your partner but then you killed him. As you drive down to LA where your new job is you check in at a old hotel called Hotel Dusk. You are checked in to room 215, which is a room where it’s said that wishes are granted. Very odd people work at Hotel Dusk, and it’s your job to figure out why.

This game seems really good and I suggest that if you have a DS, this is a game to pick up.

LOZ: Link to the Past is added to the Wii Virtual Console List

This morning, Nintendo added the awesome LOZ Link to the Past game (My 3rd most favorite zelda game) to the Wii Virtual Console. The game is for the Super NES and has a price tag of 800 Wii Points.

Here’s Nintendo’s description:

Return to an age of magic and heroes. When an evil magician named Agahnim begins kidnapping young maidens in Hyrule in a quest to break the imprisoning seal on Ganon, a young boy named Link is called upon to stop him. Link must venture into twisting mazes, dungeons, palaces and shadowy forests as he searches for the maidens and Princess Zelda. Traversing both Light and Dark Worlds, he must navigate eight dark dungeons, fighting evil enemies and huge bosses. Help our hero prevent Ganon and Agahnim from shattering Hyrule forever.

How to play LOZ Ocarina of Time like it is LOZ Twilight Princess.

Video ScreenshotI recently found this video of a guy playing LOZ: OT on his PC using the WiiMote and Nunchuck as you would on LOZ Twilight Princess. He claims that he was able to do it using a BlueTooth USB plug, a sensor bar, GlovePIE and Project 64. Of course, downloading video games (that are not free) for free on the internet isn’t vary legal but still if you have the ROM on your computer then try this out. I went to look around the internet for a GlovePIE script that would do the same emulation technique as shown in the video. And I finally came upon a post on a forum that has the correct GlovePIE script that was used in the vid. So check it out and if you got the stuff you really should try it too. It looks really cool.

Odd Circuit City ad suggests that they will have more Wiis even after sunday.

I was browsing through their ad when I noticed that Circuit City will be handing out vouchers for Wiis 1 hour before the store opens. But then I saw in very very tiny print: “thru Jan 27″. This makes me think they will be getting shipments everyday and giving out vouchers everyday until that date. Unless it’s a misprint or it means something else like: “If we didn’t sell all of our Wiis on Sunday we will give opertunities for them to sell later in the week”. But I think it’s more like “If you miss it on Sunday we well have more thru the 27th”.

I wonder…

Hey, hey, hey, You looking for a Wii? Tomorrow is your day.

Tomorrow is Janurary 21st, the day where Target and Best Buy will have like a bazillion (okay, not really) Wiis available to sell. Best Buy claims a minimum of 15 Wiis per store (nationwide) and some Targets will have them too. No word if they will be on sale or not. But if you were looking for a Wii and can’t find them then tomorrow is your day.

Why the 21st? Because Nintendo shipped out the products this week (so I have heard) and they are ready to go on shelves. 21st is a Sunday, which means that most people will not be at school (unless they go to church) or busy with work. Thus more people will buy Wiis (clever marketing ploy). Plus it could be a tip off to the DS because it was released on November 21st, or it could just be a coincidence.

This article is currently on digg.

Wanna show that you like the old school Game Boy?

iPod + GB = Crazy DeliciousApparently, someone did. A user on Flickr put up several images of his Game Boy, which looks like a normal Game Boy. Nothing Special, until it’s turned on. It’s actually an iPod case. A working iPod case. According to the modder he made it have an internal dock connector and made the GameBoy buttons actually control the iPod. Crazy stuff. Not sure why you would make it a case (FYI, it doesn’t play GB games) and not an iPod/GB hybrid but it’s still cool. I rather have a GameBoy Advance that plays GBA games and is also a working iPod, but whatever, if you like old school you might wanna take a look.
