From the Activision booth.

Activision, which is the nation’s second-biggest third-party publisher had an extensive lineup at this year’s E3, the centerpiece of which mirrored its own corporate lineup.

And right in the middle of the booth was a massive skate ramp, which of course was for their new Tony Hawk game (this will be their 8th). Skaters performed aerial tricks on the ramp to help hype the latest wave of Tony Hawk games.

Surprisingly, Project 8 was present in the booth only as a trailer (no demo?). The only Tony Hawk game that was playable at the booth was the new Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam for the Wii, DS, and Game Boy Advance this fall, however only the DS version was playable.

Activision’s biggest announcements leading up to E3 was the revelation that it was working on Call of Duty 3 for the PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox, and Xbox 360.

However, the game was totally absent from the Activision booth (however being the most mentioned title in Activision’s speech), except as a one-sheet poster (horrible marketing idea). The only playable demos for Call of Duty were two new maps that became live on Xbox Live today.
