Microsoft proving retribution for problems with Xbox Live

Most of us noticed that there was a problem connecting to Xbox Live over the holiday. Microsoft finally admitted to the problem. Isn’t that great? But for being out so long, it was almost impossible to play with anyone on Live with the new games people got over the break. And because the fault lies with Microsoft’s poor planning, they decided to pay us back for that wasted time in service. About time.

Microsoft will be offering a full free Xbox Live Arcade game to everyone as a retribution. However, they didn’t specify on what Arcade game is going to be free (it’s probably going to be a game made by Microsoft). The problem with this is that if someone already owns that Arcade game, then they don’t get anything at all, unless Microsoft gives us a choice. Microsoft didn’t provide a date for when the free game would be announced or when to even expect to see it.
