At last year’s E3, Microsoft stated that they have a goal to get six million Xbox Live members by June of this year. Yesterday, Microsoft announced that they have hit that goal. Microsoft also gave stats on how much Xbox Live is used, stating that overĀ  2.3 billion hours have been spent on Xbox Live playing other users. The most game played is, of course, Halo 2. Which has been played for over 710 million hours having 500 million games played. About 2 million messages are sent a day, and 70 percent of all Xbox Live users, download from the Xbox Live Marketplace daily.

Yikes! That’s a lot of people. Congrats to Microsoft for beating their goal.
