LucasArts has released a new patch for its popular real-time strategy game, Star Wars: Empire at War. The latest patch bumps up the game to version 1.04.

The biggest addition to the game is the map editor, which lets players to become emperors of their newly created maps or edit default ones to produce skirmish maps.

There’s a newly released plug-in for 3D StudioMax that lets gamers build their own units for Star Wars using 3D StudioMax.

Other stuff added in the update include various balance tweaks for several (tilting) units and other small bug fixes.
