Run an Xbox 360 Controller on a PS3

Hated the PS3 controller? You aren’t alone. Some Linux hacker has cooked up a way to use an Xbox 360 controller with your PS3. Of course, this would only work if you had linux installed. According to the site, YDL [Yellow Dog Linux] (which is free) will not work. Only Fedora Core 5 (also free, installation instructions here) will work with this mod. You also must have a wired Xbox 360 controller. And it works really well with the PS3. The downside to this is that it will only work with games played on linux. Not PS3 games.
The instructions to actually do this hack can be found here.
