GameTap, a service that allows you to play old games for $10 dollars a month and play them on your computer, is announcing a free version of its service. GameTap allows you to play old (and sometimes new) PC, Arcade, SEGA Genesis, Nintendo NES, and more games for a small price.

However, free sometimes comes with a price, the games will be ad supported and there will only be a small library of 30 classic games at the start. They didn’t say if they were going to add additional titles to that small library of free games, but we would assume so.

The new free game playing service will be apart of GameTap and will still require the GameTap Client. The new service will be available on May 31st.
